Rock Art in northern Europe - an Introduction 7.5 högskolepoäng

Beskrivning
This course gives a broad introduction to the archaeological study of rock art in northern Europe, its cultural settings and chronology (from the Mesolithic to the Bronze Age). It also introduces the student to the history of this research field and explores new theoretical perspective and interpretations. The course runs part-time over nine weeks, and invites the students to a non-obligatory excursion to one of the rock art areas within contemporary Sweden.

Technical requirements:
Max 3 year old Windows or Macintosh computer. Broadband connection must operate at 0.5 Mbit/s or more but recommended are at least 2 Mbit/s. Web camera and headset with inbuilt microphone are required too.
